Call for Proposals

Proposals should relate to the conference theme: "Embracing the Leadership Challenge". The proposal should address one or more factors related to student leadership on the college campus. The proposal should show evidence of a relationship to leadership theory, research in the discipline, and/or student development.

Types of Presentations:

Concurrent Sessions – 80 minutes. Concurrent sessions should provide participants with an opportunity to explore current issues and strategies for enhancing leadership, or to gain a new perspective on best practices related to leadership.

Mini-Sessions –45 minutes. Mini-sessions should address specific topics as related to conference theme, and serve as an opportunity to give participants applicable strategies in a more condensed method. Sessions addressing the following: Scholarship, Preparing for the Internship Experience, Etiquette, Religion, Civic Engagement, Career Preparation - (Grad/Med/Law School, Armed Forces, and Employment) are encouraged.

Proposals will be judged based on a 500-word maximum abstract. Please include a biographical sketch of no more than 100-words. Your contact information is also requested.

Proposals must be submitted by November 15, 2012. You may submit multiple proposals. We reserve the right to edit proposals to meet the space constraints or to combine sessions and individual submission on similar topics. The primary contact person will be the individual with whom we correspond. If there are co-presenters, it is the responsibility of the primary contact to inform all other presentation participants.
