Keynote Speaker: Steve BirdineSteve Birdine

Steve Birdine is a diversity educator, motivator, and risk taker! His passion for academic excellence, student motivation, diversity education, and leadership development has led him to be an inspiration for those seeking strong, positive role models and honest dialogue.

His presentations are getting rave reviews nationally. His keynotes and workshops are dynamic, humorous, motivational, thought-provoking, inspirational, and life changing!

His powerful and unique presentation style enables him to speak to audiences “soul to soul.” He was named “One of America's Most Influential African-Americans” by Ebony magazine. Steve has given presentations at over 300 institutions, conferences, and businesses nationwide.

Keynote Speaker: Victoria RowellVictoria Rowell

Victoria Rowell is an international lecturer, holds two doctorates – a ballet teacher, actress, writer, advocate, mother, and former foster youth. Rowell, recognized by 193 members of Congress for advocacy on behalf of education, arts, foster and adoptive youth, parents, social workers and volunteers, founded The Rowell Foster Children's Positive Plan, lasting twenty years, raising awareness and funds for arts scholarships and college stipends. Victoria and The Annie E. Casey Foundation celebrate fifteen years of collaboration. UPS founder James E. Casey and his siblings named the foundation in honor of their mother. The foundation's goals are to build better futures for disadvantaged children and their families in the United States. The foundation is a regular contributor to public broadcasting, including National Public Radio.

Rowell is an Emmy-nominated actress, who co-starred in the hit prime time television series Diagnosis Murder for VIACOM for eight seasons while simultaneously working in daytime drama. Rowell co-starred in the 2013 television movie, Marry Me For Christmas and will be featured in the upcoming features, What Love Will Make You Do and REVIVAL.

Rowell has two adult children, Maya and Jasper.

Her messaging includes: a commitment to providing pathways to leadership development for corporate leadership and students to impact their success in a multi-dimensional and culturally diverse environment.

Keynote Speaker: Rev. Derwin L. MontgomeryRev. Derwin L. Montgomery

The Honorable Rev. Derwin L Montgomery who prefers just Derwin. Born in Columbia, SC and raised in Hopkins, SC. Derwin is the youngest son born to the Rev. David and Denise Montgomery.

In November of 2009 at the age of 21, during his senior year at Winston Salem State University Derwin was elected to the Winston-Salem NC City Council in a historic manner becoming the youngest council member in the cities recorded history, at the time the youngest elected official in the state of North Carolina and & the youngest African American Elected Official in the country.

In April of 2012 Derwin was installed as Senior Pastor of the First Calvary Baptist Church of Winston-Salem, NC. Derwin is also employed with Family Services Inc. Head Start as the Professional Development and Parent Engagement Manager. He is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.

Derwin was re-elected to the Winston-Salem City Council by landslide margins in November of 2013.

Although young Derwin has gained wisdom far beyond his years. He is a young and energetic leader for his time. He has and continues to dedicate his life to service to mankind.

Talithia Lewis, aka "Pretty Ricki" is a rising comedic talent full of passion and energy. Recognizing her wit and enchanting presence, in August 2009, Talithia was asked by a friend and club promoter to co-host a comedy show at a club in New Jersey. Her natural stage presence and comedic timing won over the audience and impressed the featured comedians.

Proudly born and raised in San Antonio Texas, Bryan was born into a large family with 3 brothers he had to quickly develop a sense of humor in order to keep his older brothers from picking on him! Although being a young comic his observations and hilarious take on life is beyond his years, with great stage presence and energy he is truly a rising star on the comic scene.

Trev Houston


Trev Houston is one of the fastest rising stars in comedy today. With his high energy and passion to make people laugh, Trev is already knocking on stardom's door. Trev Houston made his television debut in 2008, a short while after entering the comedy world, on TV One's Bill Bellamy's Who's Got Jokes. A year later, Trev appeared on BET's Comic View One Mic Stand
